One of the most thought provoking, thought stimulating books that I have read was Simon Sineks ‘Start with Why’.
Simons’ theory poses a fundamental question ‘Why do we do what we do?’. He says that most of us are concerned with we want to do and how we do it but few understand WHY they are actually doing it. Too deep? Not really, watch Simon’s Youtube clip and you’ll get the picture. Simon’s book Start with Why analyses some of the great leaders who have inspired a generation. Steve Jobs, Martin Luther King Jr and the Wright Brothers all had a natural ability to start with ‘why’ which enabled them to inspire those around them and to achieve remarkable things.
This book is a great read that will get you thinking about your why and why you and your team do what you do. If team and business is high on your list then this book is a must read.
